Seven Decades of Manufacturing Excellence
For more than 70 years, Tabet Manufacturing has been a trusted partner to defense and industrial customers who demand precision, reliability, and accountability.
Michael Tabet establishes Tabet Manufacturing Co. in Norfolk, Virginia, serving local shipyards and industrial customers with precision machined parts.
Tabet expands capabilities to include sheet metal fabrication, welding, and finishing — becoming a vertically integrated manufacturer and primary supplier to U.S. Navy programs.
In the late 1990s, ownership of the company transitioned from the Tabet family to two U.S. Navy veterans who continued the organization's strong commitment to supporting the fleet and its mission. In 2004, leadership of the company transitioned to Jeff Jaycox. Backed by a dedicated workforce and decades of trusted service to the U.S. Navy, Tabet was well positioned for its next phase of growth.
ISO 9001:2015 certified and ITAR registered, Tabet operates a modern Norfolk facility delivering CNC machining, fabrication, laser cutting, welding, finishing, and complex assembly to defense and industrial customers nationwide.
A key milestone in this transformation came in early 2013 when Tabet achieved its initial ISO 9001 certification. This accomplishment formalized the company's commitment to quality management, process control, and continuous improvement. Through ongoing investment in quality systems and operational excellence, Tabet successfully transitioned to and maintains ISO 9001:2015 certification today.
In 2021, Tabet broke ground on a major facility expansion that more than doubled the size of its original manufacturing footprint. The expanded facility created additional capacity for advanced manufacturing equipment, enhanced production capabilities, and a growing workforce. This investment positioned Tabet to better serve existing customers while creating opportunities to support larger and more complex manufacturing programs for years to come.
